Diagnodent is the revolutionary new way to find even the smallest areas of tooth decay. This technology uses a laser diode to painlessly inspect your teeth. By using this new technology, Elite Dental is able to target and treat all of your small problem areas before they turn into larger issues that require more complicated procedures. This means shallower, simpler fillings, preserving more tooth structure, and providing a specific means of monitoring suspicious areas without repeated x-rays. Now your cavities aren’t just found early, they are found in a quick, comfortable, and thorough way.
INTRAORAL CAMERAS
Elite Dental utilizes intraoral camera technology to help you better understand the diagnosis and treatment plan. An intraoral camera is a very small camera that enables us to view clear, precise images of your mouth, teeth, and gums, to aid us in diagnosis and treatment planning. With clear, enlarged images, we can see details that might be missed by standard mirror examinations. We are also able to show you these images on our treatment room flat-screens to help you better understand and be able to take an active role in your treatment.
DIGITAL X-RAYS
Our office uses digital radiography which allows us to take x-rays using up to 90% less radiation than conventional film x-rays. Using this technology, we are able to take an x-ray of your mouth by using a small sensor which records the image of your teeth and sends it to a computer. The result is a highly detailed image of your mouth that can easily be enhanced to better diagnose dental concerns and determine the very best treatment for each case.
